About Me

Hi, I'm Mia!

I am an instructional designer that specializes in creating meaningful learning experiences for diverse audiences. For the past eight years, I have been developing engaging and effective learning materials through differentiated instruction in efforts to close learning gaps. I am an energetic and creative person that gets excited to learn new things.

Through my designs, I hope to empower my learners, no matter the age or context. Therefore, I appreciate any opportunity to grow and to collaborate with others to improve my skill set. My drive and passion towards learning enable me to analyze learners to develop innovating training materials that best suit their needs. I look forward to working with you!

My Process:

When developing designs using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) design process, it is crucial to thoroughly understand the company's goals and current challenges. Therefore, conducting a needs analysis is essential to determine the optimal course of action and identify any knowledge gaps that need to be addressed. Once this analysis is completed, the next step is to articulate clear learning objectives and decide on the appropriate delivery format(s) such as e-learning courses, instructor-led training, micro-learning, or job aids/infographics, considering all possibilities.

I prefer to collaborate with stakeholders and/or project managers to ensure that the chosen learning solutions align with their goals and to solicit feedback. This iterative design process helps refine the materials to meet the project's needs effectively. After receiving approval, I proceed to develop the materials, continuously seeking feedback and making necessary adjustments along the way, before finally submitting them for implementation.
